ER REGISTERED NURSE -PRN - EMERGENCY
Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department. Able to triage all patients coming into emergency department. Determines care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Has principle responsibility for nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. Plans, provides and documents discharge planning, teaching, and educate patients, family or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assures that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel.
Supervised by: Emergency Department Supervisor
Job Qualifications:
●Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
●Current Texas Registered Nurse License required.
●One year experience as a Registered Nurse in ER preferred.
●Current BLS for healthcare professionals required at time of hire.
●TNCC and ENPC required within one year of hire.
●ACLS & PALS certification required within six months of hire. PALS not required once ENPC is obtained.
●Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
●Basic computer knowledge required.
