Location: Carrizo Springs, Texas
Dimmit Regional Hospital is located in South Texas in the city of Carrizo Springs, County of Dimmit. DRH is a 25 bed licensed critical access hospital with 6-beds and triage area, Level IV Trauma Emergency Room.

Job Summary:
Responsible for implementing and coordinating Human Resource programs and services for DRH including: employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, leave; recognition, and morale; disputes and investigations; and safety while complying with all local, state and federal laws. Update and implement employment process. Develop and advertise employment notices. Onboard new employees.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Director works closely with the hospital Chief Executive Officer and management team to develop and implement effective human resource strategies and programs, including organizational development, training, performance management and compensation.
Leads recruitment, employee relations, employment counseling, and other related human resources functions.
Ensures all applicants meet job requirements, performs background checks and drug screens; and confirms licenses, certifications and education to meet job requirements.
Responsible for oversight and direction of the functions associated with employees and their benefits in compliance with the DRH's mission, policies, procedures, goals, and budget of the hospital.
Maintains satisfactory fill rates for all departments, decreases the administrative time component of the hiring process and maintains a low-level hospital-wide retention rate.
Responsible for entering employee data in the facility system and maintaining all personnel folders.
Instructs and trains Supervisors/Directors in the updating of job descriptions according to OSHA, ADA, and CMS, including competency requirements.
Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, co-workers, and the facility and adhering to HIPAA policy.
Personal attributes include the ability to be self-directed; demonstrates accountability, professionalism, and receptiveness to change; seeks guidance, direction, and assistance when needed.
Works under stress and in situations that demand patience, stamina, endurance, and tact while providing impeccable service.
Hours of duty may be irregular or unexpectedly extended due to the requirements of the job.
Maintains job descriptions, evaluations, and orientation tools to assure all employees have the most current and accurate documents.
Responds to employees concerns and inquiries and serves as a liaison between employee and DRH.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Human Resource Management or commensurate experience preferred.
• HR Certification preferred.
• Must be familiar with FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Comp and employment laws.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as presentation skills.
• Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent innovation and creativity skills.
• Skills to prepare management and other reports and presentations as necessary to measure performance metrics and advise and support leadership on related topics.
• Aptitude to pay high attention to detail to ensure high quality work.
• Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and coordinate the input of others in these circumstances.
• Ability to work in a discreet manner, maintaining confidentiality.
Functional Position Requirements:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.
